E-Spectrum Wins U.S. Department of Energy Phase I SBIR
San Antonio, TX · September 2, 2000 · E-Spectrum announces the receipt of a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award from the Department of Energy. The grant is awarded for the first phase of a project to design components for high-pressure/high-temperature geothermal drilling applications based on a high-temperature universal logging computer. At conclusion of the project, E-Spectrum plans to have a commercially-available low-cost, high-temperature, reprogrammable Universal Logging Computer that logging companies will be able to incorporate in their own electronics package.
Funding for the first phase of this project covers the period from September 2000 to March 2001. Performance results will be evaluated to determine if additional funds will be awarded under the second phase of the project. Work on the project is being performed in cooperation with the Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque.
